Alternative Breaks (AB) offers students the opportunity to spend a weekend, winter break, or spring break volunteering, learning about societal issues, and meeting new people. AB strives to make each trip diverse by placing people from similar backgrounds and organizations on different trips. This allows everyone to learn for other members of their group. AB welcomes people of all faiths and beliefs, but is not tied to any religious organization. All AB trips are alcohol and drug free, which allows for a more memorable and productive trip. Alternative Breaks is also a great way to gain leadership experience. Past participants can become site-leaders for the following year. We hope you will help support our organization by ordering or renewing your favorite magazine subscriptions online and sharing our site with your friends and relatives.
